NDA Exam Pattern Detail

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts NDA (National Defence Academy) and National Academy (NA) Exam (II) twice a year for admission into Army, Navy, and Air Force Wings. The minimum educational qualification is a 12th Class pass in the 10+2 Pattern.

Exam Pattern

  1. Written Examination
  2. Interview

Written Examination

There will be 2 papers in NDA (National Defence Academy) and National Academy (NA) written exams. The papers in all subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers of Mathematics & Part B of General Ability Test will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English. The time duration for each paper is 2 ½ hours. Subjects & Maximum Marks details are mentioned below:

In the question papers, wherever necessary, questions involving the metric system of Weights and Measures only will be set. The Commission has discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all subjects at the examination. Candidates are not permitted to use a calculator or mathematical/logarithmic table for answering objective type papers.

Interview

Candidates who select in the written examination are called for an Interview, which is conducted by SSB.
