How to Apply for UPSC NDA & NA (II) Recruitment 2024
Candidates must apply online via the UPSC website upsconline.nic.in. The application involves two main steps:
- One Time Registration (OTR): Candidates must first complete the OTR, which is a one-time process required for all applicants. Once registered, candidates can proceed with the online application for the NDA & NA Examination (II), 2024.
- Filling the Online Application: After completing the OTR, candidates can fill out the application form for the examination. - Application Form Modifications: Candidates can make corrections to the application form (other than OTR profile) from June 5, 2024, to June 11, 2024.
Examination and Vacancies for UPSC NDA & NA (II) Recruitment 2024
The examination will be conducted on September 1, 2024, for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA (154th Course) and for the 116th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), starting from July 2025. The tentative number of vacancies is as follows:
- National Defence Academy: 370 vacancies
- Army: 208 (10 for females)
- Navy: 42 (6 for females)
- Air Force: 120
- Flying: 92 (6 for females)
- Ground Duties (Tech): 18 (2 for females)
- Ground Duties (Non-Tech): 10 (2 for females)
- Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 34 vacancies (5 for females)
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC NDA & NA (II) Recruitment 2024
Nationality
Candidates must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limits, Sex, and Marital Status for UPSC NDA & NA (II) Recruitment 2024
- Only unmarried male and female candidates born between January 2, 2006, and January 1, 2009, are eligible.
Educational Qualifications for UPSC NDA & NA (II) Recruitment 2024
- Army Wing of NDA: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent.
- Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Candidates appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern can also apply, provided they submit proof of passing the exam by June 24, 2025.
Application Fee for UPSC NDA & NA (II) Recruitment 2024
- General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 100
- SC/ST/Female Candidates and Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs: Exempted from the fee.
The fee can be paid through SBI branches by cash, Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, UPI Payment, or internet banking. The “Pay by Cash” mode option will be deactivated at 23:59 hours on June 3, 2024.
Important Instructions for UPSC NDA & NA (II) Recruitment 2024
- Photograph Requirements: The uploaded photograph should be recent (not more than 10 days old) with the candidate’s name and date of the photograph clearly mentioned. The face should occupy 3/4th of the space in the photograph.
- E-Admit Card: Candidates will receive an e-Admit Card, available for download from the UPSC website, on the last working day of the preceding week of the examination date. No Admit Card will be sent by post.
