Selection Procedure: The SBI Clerk exam unfolds in three phases, each designed to assess your skills and knowledge.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Online)
- Duration: 1 hour
- Total Marks: 100 (Objective type)
Phase-II: Main Examination (Online)
- Duration: 2 Hours 40 Minutes
- Total Marks: 200 (Objective type)
Note-I: The questions in objective tests, excluding General English, will be available in both English and Hindi.
Note-II: Be cautious! Negative marking applies. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Phase-III: Test of Specified Opted Local Language
- For candidates qualifying and producing evidence of having studied the specified local language up to 10th or 12th standard, no additional Language test is required.
- Others qualifying for selection will undergo a specified opted local language test after provisional selection but before joining.
Provisional Selection (Subject to Qualifying Specified Opted Local Language):
- Preliminary Examination marks (Phase-I) won’t be considered for selection.
- Only the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase-II) contribute to the final merit list.
- Provisional selection hinges on your performance in the Main Examination.
Final Selection: I. Verification of eligibility and information in the online application. II. Qualifying in the test of specified opted local language, where applicable, as detailed above.
